Right.
Who doesn't appreciate the details of design? When I undertook the reno of my ho-hum, typical Florida 80s house, I was conscious of building as many details into the design as I could imagine and muster. My project druuuuuuuuuggggggggg out an unimaginable 2 years, maybe a little more. Some of that had to do with the fact that I travel half the year and a lot of it had to do with the fact that I was making it up as we went along.
I had a vision of how I wanted our new home to feel and I let the details evolve during the process. The main thing I wanted to accomplish was to make something architecturally interesting out of architectural milquetoast.
