Alexander McQueen for The Rug Company

For The Rug Company, the process is all about craft and their rugs are made in the exact same way they were made 200 years ago. Nothing has changed, there’s no machine process. The wool is hand-dyed and hand-cleaned, it’s dyed over a fire, it’s all hand-knotted. The whole thing is completely done by hand. These  rugs take eight months each because they’re really finely knotted. McQueen signed off on the designs, and had chosen the Military Brocade rug for his home, the week before he died. via azure magazine
