Something bad happened

to my headboard.
Nailheads!

I ordered the upholstered piece COM from Vanguard, via Furnitureland South in High Point, many months ago. I sent the natural linen and the pink gingham for the contrast welting and no specification for nailheads, because I didn't want any!

But it's going to be all right because my good friends at Furnitureland South are making sure it will be!

The rest of the room is shaping up to look like this

That print I bought on etsy a couple of years ago has been my inspiration for using pink and green. I'm having it framed for the black and white guest bath, but I've been hoarding that Of the Young and the Restless (sadly, I think they're out of business) Thorny Rose fabric for a few years, too, and I loved the red with the pink and green so the Thorny Rose finally found it's home in the pink and green guest bedroom.

Now, this is the print I been lovin' long time

Bam! Have to make that happen. LLUVIT!! It's going in there.

There's also a thrifted mahogany Paul McCobb for Calvin Group dresser I had refinished with the most beautiful original brass hardware. And, two thrifted night stands that have been lacquered white.

Oh, and there's a vintage scarf in a pink and brown print that's at the workshop being made into a pillow. But no rug. Any ideas?

Get that headboard fixed and I could be looking at having at least ONE room completed in my house!

Now, find me a rug!

  1. Hm, such an unfortunate slip-up -- indeed, sans nailheads the headboard will be much improved and allow the gingham to shine.
I adore all the elements in this room -- have saved a swatch of thorny rose for a few years as well, alas, it's too small to do anything with.
Dying for the Weinrib ikat and can't wait to see all the elements in situ.
As for the floor cover, I say you get crazy, spend way too much and snag a dyed-over dhurrie or oriental from Antrhopologie in a bright hue.
