Only a vague idea of what to do with this. But, being how it is, after all - A CHAIR - and believing that I can't live without yet another one, I jumped all over it and threw it in the back of the wagon. Silly me.
But you can see how I may have thought that
In town less than 24 hours... and bingo!
Anyone with a vision for this one?
It looks like a perfect Alice in Wonderland chair to me :)
ReplyDeletea great big ole modern chintz...like this http://www.designersguild.com/fabric-and-wallpaper-showroom/view-all-collections/sofienberg-fabrics/mariedal/mariedal---cobalt/
ReplyDeleteLove the lines of this chair! It could be so stunning in a wide stripe.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of that chintz for another chair - a trash-picked rattan with loose cushions! LLUVIT! I want it for something. And I had not even thought about a wide stripe, which I happen to love - especially in black and white. One thought was to use two fabrics, one on the outside, one on the inside. I can't keep having chairs pile up without doing anything. Better get crackin'! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDelete@elizabeth - dude, can you whip me up some of your brilliant ikat? I need to have some lamp shades made so I'd need a couple yards. Or are there any other crafty stencilers you know who would take on the job? :)

Nice, glad to see you've been enjoying Philly's offerings. I need to get over to South Jersey myself. But I am absolutely forbidden from buying any more chairs!!
